There are many common conditions that cause pain in the feet, including:

  • Achilles tendonitis, which is inflammation, irritation and swelling of the Achilles tendon
  • Bunions; an enlargement of the base of the big toe most commonly caused by excessive pronation of the ankle joint (Subtalar joint).
  • Plantar fasciitis; Inflammation of the soft tissue on the sole of the foot caused most commonly by excessive pronation of the medial arch and subtalar joint (ankle joint)

Back to Health Practitioners are well trained to assess your feet and to diagnose the cause of your pain. Often heat and ice and massage will reduce the initial inflammation and inserts (orthotics) are used to correct the arches of the feet and address any underlying causes.
