What techniques do chiropractors use?
Chiropractors use a range of techniques . One of the primary methods of treatment is the Chiropractic adjustment. Adjustments are gentle movements that are designed to correct misalignments of the spine and areas of interference to the nervous system. Sometimes this may be accompanied by a popping noise also known as a manipulation. But manipulations are only one type of adjustment and there are many other types of adjustments that chiropractors use. What other types of adjustments are there apart from manipulation?
There are many different types of adjustments and manipulation is just one type of adjustment.
These techniques include: Toggle Drop - this is a gentle but precise thrust to parts of the spine and involves using the drop piece mechanism of the chiropractic treatment.
Drop piece: Drop piece adjusting uses the tables to do the work and is a very gentle way of adjusting the spine into a better position. This is a powerful way of correcting misalignments of the spine and improving posture. Activator adjusting: this is often the most gentle way of adjusting the spine and is commonly used with infants, children or the elderly.
